Do you take my insurance?

Because nothing is more important than your smile and comfort, Welch Dental Group accepts a large number of insurance plans. The Welch Dental Group serves as veteran preferred providers on most DMO and PPO insurance plans.  We will gladly accept assignment of benefits if you are insured with a PPO or traditional indemnity plan.  We may also use your H.S.A. benefits. At what age do you start seeing children?

Please call our office if your child is experiencing discomfort or if you have a concern regarding your child’s dental health. Otherwise, Welch Dental Group sees children ages 3 and older for regular check-ups and care.

Are there Spanish-speaking doctors (Hablas espanol?)?

Some members of our team speak Spanish and are happy to translate if you do not have a translator.  (Tenemos miembros de nuestro equipo que hablan espanol y estan encantados de traducir si no tiene un traductor.)

When is your next available appointment?

Availability will vary based upon appointment needs and criteria.  We will do our best to accommodate your scheduling needs.  In most cases, we are able to provide for emergency care the same day.  Our team also has a doctor on-call for after-hour emergencies.

Do your doctors provide cosmetic dentistry?

Yes.  Our doctors are skilled in a wide range of cosmetic procedures.  Here at Welch Dental Group, we offer a full line of cosmetic procedures including bleaching, veneers, bonding, tooth-colored composite inlays and glass crowns.  In addition, we offer Invisalign™, a method of straightening teeth without the use of braces.

What are your hours?

To best serve you, our regular office hours are:
Monday – Thursday:  8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Friday:  8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Generally, closed the last Friday of each month.

Where are you located?

Welch Dental Group is located at 810 S. Mason Rd., Suite 215, Katy in the CoMerica Bank Building.  It is 0.8 miles south of West I-10 on the west side of Mason Rd. (See the map.)

How long have the doctors been practicing?

Do you have specialists?

Our experienced team of doctors can provide treatment for most of your dental needs including non-invasive periodontal treatment, non-complicated orthodontic treatment, root canal therapy and simple, surgical extractions.  Otherwise, we have a wonderful working relationship with many qualified specialists in and around the Katy area to provide for your specialty care needs.

Do you offer oral sedation or nitrous for children?

If your child requires oral sedation, we will be happy to provide a referral to a qualified pediatric specialist.  Otherwise, we provide closely monitored nitrous oxide sedation for children aged 7 and older who may be moderately anxious.

How much will my treatment cost?

Welch Dental Group provides very competitive fees.  Your exact treatment cost depends on the scope of your dental needs.  If you are an existing patient who has already been seen by a doctor for a diagnosis and treatment plan, our very capable and knowledgeable treatment coordinator, Karen, will be happy to discuss your treatment options with you.  If you are a new patient, please call us to set up an initial consultation to decide your individual diagnosis and treatment plan.

Do you offer both tooth-colored and silver fillings?

Yes. Traditionally, amalgam (silver) fillings were used to fill cavities. With advancements in dentistry, you can have tooth-colored resin fillings that blend in with your teeth for a beautiful, natural-looking restoration. Welch Dental Group provides both the tooth-colored fillings and traditional silver fillings to ensure you have a choice in your dental treatment.

Do you whiten teeth?

Yes, we offer both the in office Zoom! Advanced Whitening System as well as take home options like Nite White™.  Every patient can enjoy brighter, whiter teeth.

Do you offer any additional services?

Yes.  For your comfort and convenience, Welch Dental Group is happy to provide you with blankets, pillows, headphones and sedation dentistry during your treatment.  Complimentary notary services are also available for patients.
